Best practice guidelines for hotels

We are delighted to announce a free and no-nonsense guide and support package for hotels in the West London area interested in improving transport arrangements at their premises, which could be the first step towards gaining accreditation with the Green Tourism Scheme.

The following questions are answered in our Hotels Best Practice Guidelines (.pdf, 3427Kb) which has been designed to assist hotel professionals as they think about developing transport options. It can even help your hotel gain accreditation with the Green Tourism Scheme, like at the Park Inn Heathrow.

  • How your guests, visitors and others can benefit from
    improved travel arrangements.
  • What aspects is it helpful to think about when looking to
improve travel arrangements at your premises.
  • How can you help ensure guests and others are fully aware of
the best way of travelling to your premises.
  • What it looks like when a hotel provides their guests with
the ability to plan their journey using a simple web-based journey
    planner.

WESTTRANS' best practice guidelines are accompanied by a comprehensive package of support which includes the use of a free online journey planner which is aimed at improving the accessibility of hotels by non-car modes.
