Welcome to the 2016/17 continuous professional development programme for the children's service social care workforce within the West London Alliance.  

The programme consists of two tiers: Tier 1 - Core Programme - for NQSW, SW, Senior SW, Advanced Practitioner, Social care staff, Early Help staff and Tier 2 - Leadership - for Managers and Advanced Practitioner.   Both tiers comprise of a number of modules which will range from 1 to 7 days over a maximum period of 4 months. The sessions have been designed to build on skills and knowledge and provide tools and techniques which can be used when working with children, young people and their families. The modules are delivered by experts from independent training providers, Academic Institutions and/or the Voluntary sector and consist of various teaching techniques, expert presentations and practice learning sets.
