The Fired-uP project undertook a dissemination event at the LFB headquarters on the 4 March 2013. On the Fired-uP stand we gave a demonstratiOn of some new environmentally sustainable equipment on the market for fire services and compared this to existing equipment used by the Brigade. Some of the items on display included light weight rechargeable lighting that could replace existing petrol generator operator lighting; rechargeable cutting gear for use in road accidents that is lighter, lower maintenance and quieter; and a demonstration of the latest independent testing devices to test exhaust gases. The event was well received and generated further interest in the project.
