Qualifying Education

Your chance to make a difference

Social work  is a challenging but rewarding way to make a real difference in people's lives. You'll need to get alongside families from all sorts of backgrounds facing difficulties and have the skills and judgment to make the right decisions at the right time to protect children.  Social workers say knowing children and families you have helped are safe and thriving can be one of the biggest rewards in the job.

We're looking for strong graduates who have experience of working with children, young people and families and who can also demonstrate their maturity and emotional resilience.

The Social Work Partnership supports qualifying and post-qualifying educational programmes that improve the quality of Social Work Practice from before the front line. They support the Step Up to Social Work Programme (SUSW), Frontline and placements for students wanting to come into the field.

We are keen to be involved in the development of the next generation of social workers, co-designing the curriculum and ensuring that students are based within social work teams so that they can put into practice the theories as they are introduced.
