WLA Placement Guarantee

The Assistant Directors of Children's Services in all eight boroughs in the west London partnership made a firm commitment that each frontline team will provide at least one final placement in an academic year and each non-frontline team will offer at least one placement in each academic year.  The guarantee extends to also improve the quality of the placements that we offer and to support practice educators.

Practice Learning Co-ordinators have made team managers aware of this commitment and of their responsibility to support the process with each team manager being given a copy of the WLA Placement Guarantee.

The Placement Guarantee reflects the recommendation of the Social Work Taskforce to improve the quality and quantity of social work placements.  A copy can be downloaded below.
